Founded by Anushka and Sanchi, The Auburn is rooted in heritage, driven by passion, and committed to the well-being of our community.

Why The Auburn?

Understanding that the market was saturated with the Cassia variety—an inferior, coumarin-rich substitute often labeled as cinnamon—Anushka and Sanchi felt a responsibility to educate the public and offer a healthier alternative. Unlike Cassia, which can pose health risks when consumed in large quantities, pure Ceylon cinnamon provides a rich profile of benefits without compromise.

“We both have a strong desire to share and uplift others,” Anushka said. “We knew that creating The Auburn would allow us to extend these benefits to the broader community, ensuring that more people experience the power of authentic Ceylon cinnamon.”

 

Our Founders' Journey

Anushka, the fourth-generation of the cinnamon estates, began his career as an airline pilot, while Sanchi pursued excellence as a renowned finance professional in Australia. Despite their professional successes, they found a deeper connection in their shared purpose—unlocking the full potential of Ceylon cinnamon beyond its use as a simple spice and letting the community benefit from all the exceptional health benefits true cinnamon could bring to their lives.

“As a family deeply connected to cinnamon cultivation, we realized the world was missing out on its true benefits,” Sanchi explained. “We initially created cinnamon flakes from the highest-grade Alba Ceylon cinnamon for personal use and noticed remarkable health improvements in our parents, including better blood sugar and cholesterol levels.”

Motivated by this success, Anushka and Sanchi immersed themselves in further research and found robust evidence supporting the health benefits they experienced. Word spread among family and friends who also noted improvements in conditions such as inflammation, cholesterol management, and general well-being.
